Opening Hearts To Jesus Christ, Thank You Billy Graham

Billy Graham Preaching the Gospel

Thank you Billy Graham for preaching the truth of the Gospel; the truth of repentance, the truth of forgiveness, the truth of confession, the truths of heaven and hell, the truth of the Cross, and the truth of salvation in Jesus Christ alone. He faithfully preached so many truths with conviction, with focus, and with love. Never wavering and always pointing to Jesus Christ as the solution to our problems in this ever changing world and pointing to Jesus Christ as the only way to eternal life. With grace and humility, he reached out to others to accept Christ, all over the world, he boldly preached the Gospel, opening hearts to Jesus. Billy Graham was obedient. Only the Holy Spirit can bring a sinner to Christ, but Mr. Graham opened millions of hearts to the truth by preaching the Gospel.

that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9-10)

God’s Ways Are Not Our Ways, Thankfully:

How wonderful and merciful that God sees things so differently than we do. He took a young man born on a Dairy Farm near Charlotte, North Carolina, in 1918, and led him by the Holy Spirit to preach the Good News, the Gospel of Jesus Christ around the world for over 70 years. He preached the same Saving Grace message of Jesus Christ Praying Hands wherever he went. It did not matter where he was speaking or who his audience was. One person or hundreds of thousands, same message, same boldness, same Gospel. Billy Graham spoke to over 215 million people in 185 countries with the same message, The Cross, loud and clear.

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written:

“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,  And bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. (1 Corinthians 1:18)

His Sermons Were Consistent With The Gospel:

If you listen to his sermons it is apparent that he gave his life to sharing the love of Jesus and proclaiming that Jesus is the only way to God. When I think of Mr. Graham, I think of what it means to truly be a Christian and to truly love others enough to preach the Good News. Billy Graham actually followed The Great Commission.

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.  (Matthew 28:18-20)

How many millions Billy Graham led to Christ and out of the pits of Hell only Jesus knows. But I imagine there were a whole lot of grateful souls waiting to greet him. I can only imagine the smile on Mr. Graham’s face as he first saw the face of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As believers, we look forward to that monumental moment. Thank you Jesus, for sending Mr. Graham to this fallen world. May his children and grandchildren continue to boldly preach the Gospel.

Salvation Through Jesus Christ Alone:                                                                                                                                                                                            Praising Jesus

If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, please consider doing so right now. All of your sins can be washed away right now if you are willing to repent of your sins and ask Jesus to come into your life and allow Him to have complete authority over your life. Ask Him, trust Him, believe Him, and read the Bible. It is God’s written Word for everyone. There is nothing you or I can do on our own to be saved – nothing! Jesus paid the price for our salvation when He died on the Cross. He took our place. You will be a new creature when you accept God’s grace through His Son, Jesus Christ. When you think about it, what’s to think about?  Your eternal destination depends on it! Cry out to Jesus and acknowledge what He already knows, you are a sinner, like all of us. Confess your sins, repent and He will save you! You will change, you will become new in Christ. Your old ways will fall away. Please don’t put it off, for none of us know if we have another minute or another day left.

Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

“If you had known Me, you would have know My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him. (John 14:6-7)

Christians Are and Always Have Been Monotheistic – We Believe in One God

THE HOLY TRINITY:    The Holy Trinity

Christians do not believe in three Gods. We believe in One God who reveals Himself in three distinct and eternal persons. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. So, the Father is the one true God, the Son is the one true God, and the Holy Spirit is the one true God. One God – the Triune Godhead – three in One. This is not something we can comprehend with our finite minds, however, God is omnipresent, omnipotent, holy and righteous so, of course, there are many many things of His nature and creation we can not comprehend. That does not mean it is not true. Our lack of understanding, our lack of knowledge, our lack of Godly wisdom and our lack of belief cannot and will not change God’s truths. It is good to always keep in mind that we are the created, not the Creator.

I pray you do your own study on the One True God and open your heart and ask our Lord God to show you His truths regarding the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, without doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. (James 5:1-8)

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God

was hovering over the face of the waters. (Genesis 1:2)

Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” (Genesis 1:26) O.T.

Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”— therefore the Lord God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken.
(Genesis 3:22-23)

These scriptures are not referring to multiple gods, but rather expressing the One Triune God. For the Bible is very clear that God is One. The Word of God in the Old Testament, speaks of God in terms of :”Our image, according to Our likeness.” But still One God. In the New Testament this becomes clear as we are shown the Trinity – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’ ” (Exodus 3:14)

Then the Jews said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?”
Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” ( John 8:57-58)
(They knew exactly what Jesus was saying. He was stating that He was God. The great “I AM”)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.  (John 1:1-5)

For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. (John 5:7)

When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” (Matthew 3:16-17)

But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.” (Acts 5:3-4)

By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. (1 John 4:13-15)

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen. (2 Corinthians 13:14)

Praise God for His mercy and grace through Jesus Christ our Lord, and may we never grieve the Holy Spirit,

We are Wonderfully Made by God our Creator

Image result for pro life

 For You formed my inward parts;

You covered me in my mother’s womb.

 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;

Marvelous are Your works,

And that my soul knows very well.

My frame was not hidden from You,

When I was made in secret,

And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.

And in Your book they all were written,

The days fashioned for me,

When as yet there were none of them.  (Psalm 139:13-16)

The 7 Great “I AM” Statements Spoken by Jesus, God in the flesh – Saviour of the World

And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.”   And He said,  “Thus shall you say to the children of Israel,  “I AM has sent me to you.   (Exodus 3:14)  O.T.

Then the Jews said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?”  Jesus said to them,  “Most assuredly  I say to you, before Abraham was, “I AM.”  Then they took up stones to throw at Him;  but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.  (John 8:57-59)  N.T.

“I am the bread of life.”    (John 6:35, 41, 48, 51)

“I am the light of the world.”   (John 8:12)

“I am the door of the sheep.”   (John 10:7,9)

“I am the good shepherd.”   (John 10:11,14)

“I am the resurrection and the life.”   (John 11:25)

“I am the way, the truth, and the life.”   (John 14:6)

“I am the true vine. (John 15:1,5)

The Pharisees (Religious leaders) knew exactly who Jesus was claiming to be.  They knew exactly what He was saying.  And stones began to fly.  They are still flying today.  Each and every one of us must make the decision to accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, or to reject Him.   And when we do not accept Him, we reject Him.  No middle ground available.

When we reject Him, we rely on our own good works, our own wisdom, our own opinions, our own kindness, our own strength, our own knowledge—and the list goes on and on.   How futile, how sad, and how proud we must be to rely on our own goodness etc.

We are not good in ourselves, we are born with the sin nature.  We are rebellious.  We need a Saviour.  God’s word is very clear that we need His Son, Jesus Christ, who went to the cross to take our sins upon Himself, and to guarantee everyone who accepts Him, to know without doubt, that they will live in eternity with Him.  This is God’s plan of redemption for those He loves, and He loves us all.  But we must say yes to Christ.  Those are God’s terms.  We must humble ourselves and acknowledge that Christ is Lord of all.  The alternative is separation from the one true God for all eternity.  His love for us is the greatest love (agape love) that we cannot comprehend but the great love we all need.

If you do not know Him as your Lord and Saviour, please pray that the Holy Spirit will open your heart to accept the truth of the Gospel.

And if you do know Him, please tell others. Their eternal destiny is at stake.  When we accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour, we do not become perfect – we become saved!  Thank you Jesus, Amen.

For there is not a just man on earth who does good

And does not sin.  (Ecclesiastes 7:20)

The heart is deceitful above all things,

And desperately wicked;

Who can know it?   (Jeremiah 17:9)

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.  (Romans 3:23)

If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us. (1 John 1:10)

Scripture – Jesus the True Shepherd

Jesus the True Shepherd

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.  Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.”  Jesus used this illustration, but they did not understand the things which He spoke to them.  (John 10:1-6)

In John chapter 10, Jesus makes 3 statements about Himself.

1 – “I Am the Door”   (John 10:9)

2- “I Am the Good Shepherd”    (John 10:11)

3   “I Am the Son of God”   (John  (10:36)

In the Old Testament – (Genesis 49:24;  Psalms 23:1;  80:1),  the Shepherd is used for God.  This supports the deity of Jesus Christ.  What an awesome God we serve!
